Terms of Service
Version 2026-10-24. These terms are between you and PALLASITE OÜ, registry code 17348411, Ahtri tn 12, 15551 Tallinn, Estonia ("Palbase", "we"), and govern your use of Palbase: Studio, its API, command-line tool and SDKs, and the services your projects run on it. The billing terms and the privacy policy are part of them. Write to us at info@pallasite.net.
1. Accounts and organizations
You sign in with an account of your own and keep its sign-in safe; what is done with it is yours. You must be at least 16 and able to enter a contract. If you use Palbase for a company, you accept these terms for it and confirm you may. Projects belong to an organization; its owners and admins decide who is a member and what each may do, and are responsible for what its members and its tokens do.
You are a consumer if you use Palbase for purposes outside your trade, business or profession; otherwise you are a business. Some of these terms apply differently to each, as they say.
2. The service
Palbase gives your projects databases, machines, authentication, storage, messaging, analytics, AI and the other modules Studio shows. We improve it continuously: we may add, change or retire features, and tell you in advance when a change takes away something your project uses. We run it with care and aim to keep it available, but it is offered without a promised uptime unless a separate written agreement says otherwise. Planned maintenance and incidents are announced where we can.
3. What you may not do
You may not use Palbase, or let your users use it, to: break the law or help others break it; store or send content that is illegal, infringes others' rights, or sexually exploits minors; send spam or unsolicited messages; spread malware or phishing; attack, probe or overload any system, including ours and other customers'; mine cryptocurrency; get around the Free plan's limits, for example with many accounts; or get around a suspension. We may remove content or stop a project that does any of this, and report it where the law requires.
4. Your content and your customers' data
What you and your projects store on Palbase is yours. You give us the right to host, copy, process and send it only as needed to run the service for you. We do not sell it, and do not use it to train AI models.
For the personal data of your projects' users, you are the controller and we are your processor under the GDPR. We process it only on your instructions — your configuration and your use of the API are those instructions — and to provide the service; we keep it confidential, protect it with appropriate technical and organizational measures, and use only the sub-processors listed in the privacy policy, telling you before we add one so you can object. We help you answer your users' requests and meet your security and breach duties, tell you without undue delay of a breach affecting your data, and delete or return it when you delete the project or the organization, save what the law requires us to keep. You are responsible for having a lawful basis for the data you give us, and for telling your users how you use it.
Using messaging, you instruct us to keep, for your users' reports alone, what went from their screens without their choosing — a message taken back, seen once, timed out or in vanish mode, what an edited message said before, a group one of them deleted — sealed for 14 days, the account it came from deleted or not; and each report, with the messages it carries, for 190 days once resolved, or two years if never (Messaging). Nothing else reads them, and they are gone after.
5. Fees
The Free plan costs nothing within its quotas. On Pay as you go, an environment's usage past its own quotas is charged from its own credit as the billing terms set out, at the prices published there.
6. Suspension and ending
You may stop using Palbase at any time and delete your projects, organizations and account. We may suspend a project or organization, with notice where we can, if it breaks section 3, puts the service or others at risk, or a payment for it is reversed; we lift it when the cause is gone. We may end these terms with an organization with 30 days' notice, or at once for a serious or repeated breach. After an organization ends, its data is deleted, save what the law requires us to keep.
7. Our rights
Palbase, its software and its name are ours or our licensors'; these terms give you the right to use them as the service, nothing more. The SDKs and other code we publish under an open-source licence are governed by that licence. If you send us ideas or feedback, we may use them freely.
8. Liability
For a business: the service is provided "as is"; we are not liable for lost profits, revenue, data or goodwill, or for indirect loss, and our total liability in any 12 months is limited to what your organization paid us in them. You will compensate us for third parties' claims arising from your content or your breach of these terms.
For a consumer: you have the rights the law gives you, and nothing in these terms limits them. We are liable for loss we cause in breach of these terms that was foreseeable when you accepted them.
For everyone: nothing in these terms limits liability for intent or gross negligence, for death or personal injury, or that the law does not allow to be limited. Keep your own copy of data you cannot afford to lose; we keep backups, but they are for restoring the service, not a promise of every past state.
9. Changes, notices and law
We may change these terms with 30 days' notice by email to the organizations' owners and admins; if you do not accept a change, you may stop using Palbase before it takes effect. Notices to you go to your account's email; to us, to info@pallasite.net.
These terms are governed by the law of Estonia, and disputes go to the Harju County Court in Tallinn. If you are a consumer, the mandatory protections of the country you live in still apply, and you may also bring a claim in its courts; you may turn to the Estonian Consumer Disputes Committee (Tarbijavaidluste komisjon) as well. If a part of these terms is found invalid, the rest still applies.
